It’s exactly what it sounds like!

It is a game developed by New York’s Stewart Smith (a.k.a. Stewdio) that is played using browser windows. I highly recommend playing with sound.

Stewart Smith currently operates in London, England and has worked with O R G, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, We Have Photoshop, 2×4 and Warning Office to name the few that are listed in his bio on his website.

Play it here before you waste another second not wasting your time on it! Or watch us play it right here:

… The weather’s beginning to lighten up but the evening’s still have a definite chill to it. So, this week’s music entries are tied in to the mood of night-freeze-strolling with a little bit of bounce to keep you toasty. These albums tend to be a little bit on the shadier side but have a quality of pop that will make your muscle fibers twitch, and scientists will tell us that twitching is good [... musical scientists that is].

Enjoy the week,

… So, It’s the second exclusive post and I’ve decided to do one that works best in end-of-day-sunset-bus-rides. Imagine a skyline illuminating the entire interior of the bus in an orange hue, sitting at the back of a packed bus listening to one of these exceptional albums full-blast. It’s a 30 minute opportunity to wind down from a hectic day and a chance to listen to an album with high anticipation. Personally, It’s a win-win situation.

Enjoy the week,

Who’s benefitting from your sponsorship?

posted by on 2010.03.19, under Share
19:

The short answer should be, “everyone.”

Sponsorship is a great opportunity to give back. The group on the receiving end couldn’t do what they do without the support of organizations like yours. But, you should also expect a return on your investment. Some companies might be satisfied with modest recognition and exposure – but they would be missing out on a majority of the potential.

If you are not seeing any benefits to your business as a result of your sponsorships, it might be time to change your strategy.

The sponsorship amount is only a portion of the overall budget you should assign to any sponsorship opportunity. The balance should be used to activate your sponsorship. Sponsorship activation makes the most of your opportunity to raise awareness, create buzz, and build your brand.

Activation can take many forms and the primary objective is not always the same. Tailoring your activation to each sponsorship is a sure way to make your brand more relevant to each unique audience and build an honest connection. Also, remember your audience doesn’t start and stop with your customers, integrating your activation internally can lead to greater success, awareness, and enhance morale.

Successful activations usually share some key attributes:

SIMPLICITY
A simple message and clear concept that respects the intelligence of the audience will usually resonate best. Also, the executions and initiatives needs to be relevant, different, and more engaging than traditional forms of advertising.

INTERACTIVITY
Provide an experience that enhances the moment. Creating activities that engage, memorable moments, and photo opportunities create a greater overall experience. Allow your audience to pull the messages they want to interact with rather than pushing a message at them. This will help create a honest interaction with your brand.

COCO-SPONSOR-GRANTS

The Grant’s Interactive Tastings intersected the target audience where Grant’s was available to purchase at MLCC’s and enjoy at participating lounges. The unique “interactive tastings” was integrated into the natural environments, felt relevant, and drew people in to try something new.

ABILITY TO AMPLIFY
Whether building on your sponsorship as part of a greater overall campaign, by providing on-line, retail and external integration, or the ability to gain earned media, you can extend your reach, increase frequency, enhance the impact of each interaction, and deepen the relationship with your brand. Amplification of one activation leads to a greater overall impact. An activation can also help the event itself gain awareness and interest thus creating more awareness and possible engagement with your brand.

COC-SPONSOR-SCO2

Scotiabank’s Grey Cup Hits The City executions have gained earned media numerous times to extend the reach and maximize ROI.

With activation, sponsorship can have a greater ROI than a traditional advertising campaign alone, and create a lasting impression on both your existing and future customers. A sponsorship without activation, isn’t taking full advantage of the opportunity. Activate your next sponsorship and make sure everyone benefits – especially you.

… A couple facts:

- Music and Design intertwine like a melody
- Music can dictate the mood of how you work or vice versa
- And let’s be honest, every designer wishes they were a musician

Some of the albums I’ve come across have motivated and inspired me so much, that literally, it has changed my life. So now, an opportunity has come to dedicate some time to share some weekly posts on new music that must be heard. I will give my best effort every Monday to provide a new list of tunes that I’ve come to call, might be speaking to soon, “classics”. Whether it be 1-3 albums, or a single track. Reviews will be from credited authors and hopefully a full track list and/or record label attached.

Enjoy the week,
